1What medical aids do we accept?
We accept all medical aids: we have to apply for PMB (prescribed minimum benefits) which will allow you both psychotherapy and psychiatry visit without affecting your day to day saving. PMB uses the same benefits for admission. Please familiarise yourself with your medical aid PMB policy.
2Is a referral necessary?
Referral to see a psychiatrist is not necessary but may be beneficial. Some medical aid may require a referral from a GP.
3Will I require medication?
Prescription of medication is informed by the severity of symptoms and the type of illness one has. If you are referred to see a psychiatrist by your GP, Psychologist/ Therapist, School teacher in case of children you are most likely going to be needing medication.
44. What are the hourly rates?
(60 minutes) = R2800 + Vat = R3220
